FaunaThere are many animals that live in the tundra biome. Some of the fauna that live in the tundra biome are Polar Bears, Arctic Fox, White Wolves, Grizzly Bears, Squirrels, Snowy Owls, Caribou and Arctic Hares. There are many more fauna that live in the tundra biome. Birds migrate from the tundra during colder months of the year but during winter you may not see a lot of animals around.

Flora
As the tundra biome is extremely inhospitable the flora found in the biome is very few. Within the tundra biome the majority of the plants are mosses, grasses, lichens, sedges and shrubs. A common vegetation in this region is Cotton Grass. The Cotton Grass in particular has learnt to adapt to its environment really well. Some common plants you will see in the tundra region are Bearberry, Arctic Moss, Diamond Leaf Willow, Caribou Moss, Labrador Tea, Pasque Flower and the Tufted Saxifrage.
