A Minneapolis man will spend 180 days in jail for possessing nearly 60 pounds of marijuana.

According to court documents, Sean M. Wilcoxson, Jr., 24, was sentenced to 58 months in prison, a term which is to be stayed for 10 years of supervised probation, administered by the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Field Services. Wilcoxson was the driver of a vehicle who took responsibility for the 58 pounds of marijuana discovered by a Mountain Lake police officer during an August traffic stop. A second vehicle had acted as a decoy, Wilcoxson told law enforcement.

Wilcoxson was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, which may be satisfied by community service work.

Two other charges were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

Disposition of criminal charges remain pending for the others charged in the case: Ambria M. Gardner-Henry, 21; Tonee L. Love, Jr., 21; Malasia M. Pearson, 23; Carnail Stokes, 42; and Themerrious A. Stokes, 24.
