A huge fire has broken out in Le Havre, France, forcing hundreds of people to be evacuated from their homes.
The fire broke out at an abandoned 3,000㎡ building located rue Maximilien Robespierre, in the Caucriauville district at around 1.45pm on Saturday, October 24.
Horrifying videos shared on social media show huge plumes of smoke rising high into the sky as flames ravage the building.
Large crowds can also be seen gathering nearby despite emergency services urging people to avoid the area.
In a statement on Twitter, local police reported there are huge clouds of smoke being seen rising above the scene.
About twenty police officers are on site, as well as 70 firefighters. 25 vehicles are engaged, authorities reported on Twitter.
Around 300 people are reported to have been evacuated from their homes, BFMTV reports.
There are currently no victims, Paris-Normandy reports being told by a police source.

Several buildings in rue Maximilien Robespierre and in avenue du 8-Mai-45 are being evacuated by emergency services.
Those evacuated from nearby buildings have been told they will be welcomed in the nearby Eugène Varlain gymnasium.
The building used to be a Lipton warehouse, according to local reports.
It is said to be behind a Lidl store but also directly in front of the local fire station.
Local transport links have been affected by the incident, with the tram service reported to be interrupted and huge traffic jams reported.
The local fire service is expected to make a statement on the situation at 5.30pm, BFMTV reports.
