Manolo Blahnik celebrated 10 years of the Hangisi pump—a shoe that was etched into fashion iconography by Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City movie—last night at its midtown Manhattan boutique. The event brought out the likes of Candace Bushnell, Olivia Palermo, and Theodora Richards. As CEO George Malkemus III presided over the festivities and greeted guests, including Andreja Pejic and Nina Agdal, others gazed upon the various glittering heels on the walls with admiration. For Palermo, who sported the original blue version for her 2014 nuptials, the event was bittersweet. “It is a classic shoe and a beautiful silhouette,” Palermo said. “I chose to have a modern take on bridal and added a pop of color. I thought it was quite fitting to have a pop of blue for my wedding day.”
