About the teacher-author...
Hi, I'm Jess the founder of Karr Art! I am an Elementary art teacher and boy mom of two.
I grew up in a big Mexican family in a small town in Ohio. If I didn’t have a pencil in my hand, I was likely running around with one of my cousins swiping warm tortillas from the stove.
I love to travel and have been lucky enough to have seen Hawaiian sunsets, the Mayan ruins, and the world’s most iconic art at the Louvre.
In college, I first pursued graphic design before switching to Art Education. I have my Bachelors and Masters from The Ohio State University. Go Buckeyes!
Whether you’re a teacher writing lessons or a parent hoping to bring art into your home, I hope my resources fill your life with some creative fun. ❤️
