Hey bro, i will try to find some time to dose and let ya know how it wenteveryone reacts different and have different preferences. so that's why there is a nice wide variety of everything to try
I'm lookin forward to indicat's follow up report.... reminds me of when imp was first trying to get some mescaline in his blood
Thanks Rory, I was so pissed I thought I was gonna blow a gasket. Had to go and roll some "stick" - Quick and calm down. So here we go again- A few days ago, I Sprinkled about 40 new seeds and covered in plastic tarp, creating a mini- green house. Misting every so often and keeping RH @ nearly 100%. Should see some sprouts in a week or twosorry bout your loss...
graft em. just do it. you know you want to...I WILL (eventually) harvest some of the fabled peyote. Then, i'm going to try and dose 400 mg 15 buttons (or so) to make it all worthwhile !!
That 1-st picture (T.Pachanoi) looks JUST like a T.Peruvianus I grew a while back. Larger spines than a typical Pachanoi - from what i've seen. Looks like a hybrid to me Cat.
pereskiopsis spathulata.Just WOW Cat !!! - Unfortunately, i am not a cactus-expert like you. Still, I may really have to look into this grafting, since i really don't wanna wait 5 yrs to dose my peyote. Periskopsis- (or something like that)? I am terrified of my seedlings not "taking" the grafting and dying, etc... I'm really new to cacti propagation, and paranoid about screwing up the graft and having to start ALL over.
i think it's a peruvianus; when people buy seeds, they sometimes get mislabeled. peruvianus and bridgesii get mixed up a bit too...That 1-st picture (T.Pachanoi) looks JUST like a T.Peruvianus I grew a while back. Larger spines than a typical Pachanoi - from what i've seen. Maybe it's a hybrid C.Cat?
Thanks Curious ! Come to think of it, I have a 6yr. old we can get busy grafting (Lmao)!! - Seriously though, Thank You for the link bro. I will be checking it out. Strange to hear of a cactus that can (likes to be) watered daily. Peace homiepereskiopsis spathulata.
expertise not needed. so simple a 6yo could do it. that link is an in depth how-to guide to grafting seedlings to periskiopsis, and will get you great results.
i have only had one graft fail...ever... and that's because i dropped it .
pereskiopsis grows so fast that a single cutting will get you 10-20 new cuts/stocks in about 6 weeks. it loves water, and can even be rooted in a glass of water. this means you can water it daily, upping the growth rate tremendously.
do it cat, you know you want to
awesome! about a week from being ready to graft!!View attachment 3209114 About 12-15 Peyote sprouts in this half of the plantar. I sowed about 30-40 in all
seriously is that all it takes? how long from graft to harvest of the peyote?awesome! about a week from being ready to graft!!
between a year and a half to two years; 6 months on the graft stock to get to the size of a baseball, two weeks after removing the scion to callous, a month to root, and year on own roots to produce alkaloids to full and natural quantities.seriously is that all it takes? how long from graft to harvest of the peyote?
