Jung Yong Hwa Shares That Working With Jang Na Ra in ‘Sell Your Haunted House’ Is a Dream Come True

Jung Yong Hwa Unleashed His Drama Experiences in "Sell Your Haunted House"
As his drama comeback, Jung Yong Hwa chose to work with KBS for "Sell Your Haunted House." He played the character of Oh In Bum, a con artist who later on worked with a professional exorcist, Hong Ji Ah (Jang Na Ra).
The CNBLUE member shared in the interview that when he was still in the military, he was already thinking of what kind of project he should do next once discharged from the service. And then Jung Yong Hwa sticks to his plan of doing a drama that would give him a good feeling from the start.
He said, "When I received the script for 'Sell Your Haunted House,' I felt that it was a really new genre to do." Jung Yong Hwa added, "There were also lots of acting that I could try like comedy, actions, drama and more. And above all, that was the time I knew that I really wanted to work with Jang Na Ra."
The "Heartstrings" star revealed that he was drawn to Oh In Bum's character. The moment he started reading the script, Jung Yong Hwa already knew that he would be good at playing the role. He continued, "While playing as Oh In Bum, I added more flavor so that he could look stronger in front of the viewers. I also tried to blend my own personality into Oh In Bum to make him more realistic."

Jang Na Ra is a Good Mentor and Senior for Jung Yong Hwa
When he talked about his co-star Jang Na Ra, Jung Yong Hwa confidently shared that he learned a lot from her. The 31-year-old singer-actor also praised Jang Na Ra for being a good senior to him. He was able to overcome things during the shoot because of Jang Na Ra. She was also vocal in teaching and guiding him on what to do in every scene. He also received lots of advice from his on-screen partner in "Sell Your Haunted House."
Jung Yong Hwa said, "I thought Jang Na Ra only chose good projects. I was curious about how she always ended up doing good dramas. She is really good at acting. That's why when I heard that she was cast in 'Sell Your Haunted House,' I was really interested of working with her"
For the versatile artist like Jung Yong Hwa, working with one of the respected and well-known great actors in the industry like Jang Na Ra was a dream come true for him. And he also confessed that during his twenties, he didn't much enjoyed his memories due to lots of pressure, but when he already went to the military and exposed himself to a new environment, Jung Yong Hwa felt happier and didn't feel any pressure at all. Same as while working with his previous drama, "Sell Your Haunted House."
