Description
"Eagle to Frog" is an abstract inuit native people's work by Northwest Coast Haida artist Scott A. Fulton. The print, which incorporates striking red and black elements, is pencil signed by the artist on the right in the lower margin. The title is in pencil in the center of the lower margin and the edition, 1/10, is in the lower margin on the left.
The print is presented in a decorative brown wood frame with a beaded outer edge trim and a scalloped gold and black inner highlight region with a white mat. The frame measures 22.5" x 18.5" x 0.75".
Scott Fulton is known for his powerful symbolic abstract animal prints. The Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of the American Indian holds four of his works. Haida-speaking Native People of North American are from the northwest regions of North America, including: Haida Gwaii (formerly the Queen Charlotte Islands) off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, the southern part of Prince of Wales Island and Alaska. Haida art is know for totem poles, stone carvings and print-making. - More Information

Timeless Intaglio is an online gallery of rare and collectable antiquarian prints, maps and books. Although we specialize in all forms of vintage printed works on paper, the majority were created with the intaglio method of transferring ink from a plate, usually copper, to paper with a technique utilizing pressure generated by a press.
