Europe Correspondent (f/m/d)

• Reporting on current European policy issues, the EU institutions and NATO
• Commentary on events in the EU (politics, economy, culture) for all Deutsche Welle outlets
• Producing on-the-day reports and background packages (TV, online, social media)
• Live hits for TV and other video outlets (English, German-language)
• Creation of multimedia content for DW's social media platforms

• University degree in a relevant field
• Traineeship or existing journalistic experience
• Prior experience as a Europe correspondent in Brussels
• In-depth knowledge of the current political, social and economic conditions in the European Union
• Experience in reporting on the EU institutions and their fundamental values, such as freedom, democracy, respect for human rights, equality and the rule of law
• Knowledge and ability to report on judgments of European courts (European Court of Justice / European Court of Human Rights) and international courts (International Criminal Court / International Court of Justice, etc.)
• Perfect knowledge of English and German
• Solid command in French
