The sea resort of San Carlos is adjacent to the city of Guaymas, and characterized by a boardwalk known as Guaymas Malecon, which runs alongside the port. Nearby the Three Presidents' Square honors the three Sonorans who became Mexican presidents, Elias Calles, Adolfo de la Huerta, and Plutarco Abelardo Rodrigues.
