With award ceremonies, often the celebrity red carpet style is just as dissected as the ceremony itself.
At this year's British Academy Television Awards, one of the most talked-about stars wasn't wearing the biggest designer name or the most expensive dress.
This Country star Daisy May Cooper got the flashbulbs going as she arrived wearing a voluminous gown made entirely of recycled refuse bags.
Her look, complete with a long litter train, tin can handbag and a bin lid hat, was made by her mother and her friends.
"There is a reason behind it," Cooper explained. "I decided instead of wearing a normal dress, I'd donate what I would have spent to charity and wear bin bags."
Cooper donated the money that she would have spent on a Bafta gown to a local food bank; her replacement refuse sack dress cost around £5 to create.
She explained her look to ITV: “I wanted people to say ‘Oh what are you wearing? Gucci?’ No, just bin bags.”
This isn't the first time a celebrity has used their red-carpet attire to make a political or environmental statement. In 2016, Emma Watson attended the Met Gala in a gown made from recycled plastic bottles, designed by Calvin Klein who collaborated with Eco Age for the Green Carpet Challenge.
Cate Blanchett re-wore one of her previous red carpet looks at last year's Cannes Film Festival, a beautiful black lace Armani Privé gown that was created for her back in 2014.
Blanchett told Eco-Age at the time, "from couture to t-shirts, landfill is full of garments that have been unnecessarily discarded. Particularly in today's climate, it seems willful and ridiculous that such garments are not cherished and reworn for a lifetime."
