Alika and her consistency as a musician

As someone wise always said, you must be consistent in pursuing your career. That statement fits perfectly with Alika Islamadina, a musician who started her musical career at 10! Can you imagine how much Alika has achieved during his music career? No doubt, Alika is very good at music. Evidenced by the many achievements that she has achieved. 

This 23-year-old woman first started her career as a child singer in the AFI competition, Followed by making her first album with Elfa Secoria, then making a teen album with Yovie Widianto. She was also part of a girl band called ‘Princess’. Alika has worked closely with senior musicians who taught her many things and made her very experienced in the music industry.

“I am a full-time singer. I started my career as a musician at a very early age, and my love for music has outgrown many other things. Music is my identity,” said Alika, expressing her adoration for music to Eyelovin’s team. 

We bet it has never been easy, it is a roller-coaster ride when pursuing something that you love. For Alika, one of her best achievements that made her realize that she is creating an impact with her music is when she won AMI Award for Children’s Album and AMI Award for Solo Artists, Duo / Best Children's Song Groups back in 2006.

“It felt surreal. At that time the children's songs were experiencing a crisis, and winning was very proud.” Then what is the family's response when knowing that Alika wants to be serious in her music career? “They are very supportive! My family is a musical family too. I mean, it runs in our blood. They are very happy to know that I want to pursue my career in music, as long as I do positive things and positively impact others.”

Besides music, Alika also has a huge interest in the fashion industry. The woman who is now identical to the title Instagram Celebrity is busy doing many things revolving around fashion and traveling. 

“My love for fashion does not mean that I grew tired or neglected music. In fact, in my opinion, those two things are very correlated. Because music is not just an ability or technicality, but a whole package, and fashion are one of them. Now social media is a platform for everyone who wants to show off their talents.  I am so grateful for this practicality. Now I can express two things that I love every day.”

5. Why do you love wearing Eyelovin?
