Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has paid a moving tribute to star Irrfan Khan, following his death aged 53.
The actor, who had a long career in Bollywood, counted the 2015 movie among his many credits, playing the role of Simon Masrani.
Taking to Twitter, Trevorrow posted a picture of Khan laughing as he recalled the last conversation he had with the actor before he passed away.
"Deeply sad to have lost #IrrfanKhan," he wrote. "A thoughtful man who found beauty in the world around him, even in pain. In our last correspondence, he asked me to remember 'the wonderful aspects of our existence' in the darkest of days. Here he is, laughing."
The late actor revealed in 2018 that he had an endocrine tumour, which affects cells that release hormones into the bloodstream. His management confirmed that he had been admitted to hospital for a colon infection prior to his death (via BBC News).
Alongside Jurassic World, Khan appeared in movies such as Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Darjeeling Limited.

Many more tributes to the star have poured in, including from When They See Us director Ava DuVernay, who wrote: "A grateful fan of #IrrfanKhan here. Gone too soon. When he is on screen, you can't take your eyes off of him. He lives on in his films."
"Such terrible news… saddened to hear about the demise of #IrrfanKhan, one of the finest actors of our time. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time," Bollywood star Akshay Kumar added in his own tribute.
