'You're dead to us now, traitor': The hilarious (and bitter) farewell cakes employees have received following their resignation
- People have taken to social media to share photographs of farewell cakes
- Some of them are hilarious and others harsh when saying goodbye
- Many told leaving colleagues 'you're dead to us' or 'get lost'
- One read 'Ding dong the witch is dead' and another just 'F*** this place'
When a beloved colleague leaves your workplace, it can be a sad and stressful time. You're saying goodbye to a friend, or perhaps an integral part of your team.
But it's often a bitter sweet time, with many bidding farewell to their team mates through less traditional methods.
Here, we look at some of the most amusing (and blunt) farewell cakes given to employees on their last day of work.
People have taken to social media to share photos of colleagues farewell cakes (above)
Some were hilarious and others just really harsh to the leaving employee
Despite not knowing the difference between 'your' and 'you're', this cake was pretty mean (above)
Some people let their teammate know how they felt about their resignation (above)
One cake invoked Internet famous Grumpy Cat to say how happy they were the colleague was going (above)
Many of the cakes had messages of joy that the person was leaving, while others were simply straight to the point.
One cake was decorated with the words 'You're dead to us', while another said the same with 'Traitor!' added on the end.
Another cake told the person to 'Get lost', while one had an unhappy stick figure pointing to the side and 'GTFO' in big letters.
One Wizard of Oz inspired cake read 'Ding dong the witch is dead' (above)
Others seemed to be created by the leaving people themselves, one reading 'F*** this place' (above)
One woman was very happy with her cake, despite it saying her colleagues hope she failed (above)
Despite the glitter, one person got called a jerk on their farewell cake (above)
Some were slightly more harsh, with one cake reading 'You're dead to us, we hope you fail.'
Another simply said 'Ding dong the witch is dead', while a third read 'F*** this place'.
One glittery cake seemed to be positive at first look, but actually just said 'Fine. Go.' with the word 'jerk' in smaller letters.
These colleagues were clearly upset at someone was leaving (above)
Other cakes were even decorated with zombies to emphasis how 'dead' the person was to them (above)
While some wished good luck but accompanied it with memes about them leaving (above)
Others begged the person to say, like one Star Wars creation emblazoned with 'It's a trap!!' (above)
Other cakes had the wording right, but a hidden message in the design of the dessert.
One cake for example read 'We'll miss you'. But it was made to look like a litter box, with the words spelled out in icing that looked like cat poo.
A Star Wars themed farewell cake begged the person not to leave, with the words 'It's a trap!' emblazoned on it.
Some were too rude, calling the leaving person a 'f***hole' but also including a can of beer (above)
Others poked fun, asking why the person wasn't gone yet (above)
Some were more passive aggressive, using quote marks to intone their meaning (above)
While others had the words right, but decorated the cake in the shape of a litter box (above)
