Review: W Punta de Mita

More stylish and party-oriented than most of its counterparts in Punta Mita, this hotel likes to play up its proximity to surf-chic Sayulita (20 minutes away) rather than practical but unexciting Puerto Vallarta (home to the airport and less than an hour away). The six dining venues specialize in signature cocktails and original dishes; the exclusive Mesa 1 is on its own private island. W brand loyalists will recognize some of the signature features, like the WET Deck (poolside bar and revelry scene) and AWAY Spa. The 119 guest rooms include 13 suites, all with private balconies and patios that have ocean or jungle views.
