In a new documentary entitled Phoenix Rising, actress Evan Rachel Wood discusses her toxic relationship with musician Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner). She alleges that instead of simulating sex for Manson’s 2007 music video Heart Shaped Glasses, that Manson penetrated her, essentially raping her in front of the cast and crew members, none of which stepped in to help.

Now, in 2022 that video is still available on multiple streaming services. As a woman, I’m horrified that after all of the abuse allegations made against Manson that any streaming services would still support his music but now knowing that the video of a young woman being raped is legally available for all to see is sickening.

The comments online ranged from blaming Evan Rachel Wood, to applauding Manson and multiple commented that they would now watch the video, simply to see a woman being taken advantage of. I saw no sympathy for the victim or anger towards the perpetrator. Please consider signing this to help get this despicable video removed. No one, no matter their age, race or status should have to be humiliated in this way. It’s time to stop victim shaming and blaming and take action.
