Let's just say this - if San Miguel de Allende isn't on your to-do list.... ADD IT IMMEDIATELY. This beautiful, bright, hospitable, charming and delicious city shot right up to the top of my list after the last WGC retreat and I cannot wait to get back.

After 5 days in SMA (short for San Miguel de Allende) and countless meals, here's where we landed with our recommendations. Below you'll find all our favorite places to eat and drink! When it comes to where to stay - we stayed at the Rosewood as that is where we hosted the WGC retreat and it was absolute perfection top to bottom. The staff was warm and welcoming, the rooms are stunning, the brunch spread on Sundays is epic and we loved every minute of the hotel! Ok - let's dive into the other goods SMA has to offer...

COFFEE

Ki'bok Coffee - one of the most recommended places to grab a cup of coffee - it didn't disappoint!

PANIO - another cute bakery / coffee spot!

La Cabra Iluminada - chic coffee and eats!

  1. Everything looks incredible! Which restaurant did the food come from that you included photos of?

  2. Thank you! Tostevere was perfect. Great atmosphere, drinks and food. We don't usually eat red meat but ordered the sirloin tostada and it was definitely worth It!

  3. So glad you enjoyed it! My husband and I bought a house and retired there 10 years ago, as did several other friends of ours . We have rented our house for the past two years and returned to Toronto for medical reasons. But we’ll be back San Miguel! It truly is magical and all the restaurants you mentioned … spot on!
