A woman walked up to a microphone, slightly shaking and holding back tears.

She has been suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder ever since her father committed suicide five months ago. She has never had the strength to confess that to anyone before.

Another woman stepped up and said that she refuses to get help for her anxiety attacks because her mother yelled at her for self-harm back in middle school. 

All of these uncensored stories were said to an audience of complete strangers. How did these people stand in line and willingly discuss a deep part of their lives at a theater in Southern Connecticut State University? Maybe it had something to do with Frank Warren.

Warren, the creator of PostSecret, gave a talk on how he began his project, stories from his past and why sharing secrets is so important.
