Actress Eiza González (Baby Driver) took fans into her closet to show off some of her favorite outfits during Vogue magazine’s series 7 Days, 7 Looks. She also revealed that Tom Ford, who has dressed everyone from Beyoncé to First Lady Michelle Obama, made her feel like “Mexican Barbie” when she wore his clothes.
“The more that I’ve been reintroduced to fashion, I understand the playing of colors,” González says. “And I find that Tom Ford really understands that. I feel like it’s really fun and sexy.”
Besides Ford’s fashion sensibility giving her a “Mexican Barbie” vibe, she added that it matches her “outgoing” and “kind of dangerous” personality and tells whoever she is on a date with that evening that they should do the “best job possible” because “if you don’t nail this date, it’s a done deal for you.” No pressure.
For her date night look González strutted out wearing a matching fuchsia jacket and skirt, bikini-style tank, and white Manolo Blahnik heels that, she says, gives the entire outfit an “extra oomph.”
Along with her date night look, González shared examples of outfits she would wear to a meeting, the gym, on the red carpet, the beach, and when visiting London. She also unveiled her day-to-day look, which included a pair of Wranglers. “I’m kind of a tomboy,” she says. “I really feel like a girl on the go.”
González also gave a shoutout to two Latine designers, Mexican fashion designer Sandra Weil and Dominican purse designer Raul López. “I love supporting my people,” she added.
The actress will next be seen wearing a paramedic’s uniform in the 2022 action film Ambulance alongside Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman) and Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far from Home).
