Irrfan Khan: I don’t understand why two people in love are made to feel weird, guilty

She said, “It was a herculian task to match up with his level of acting and romance. You haven’t seen his romance on-screen yet. You’ll know his level of romance once you watch the film.”

Director Tanuja Chandra confirmed at the trailer launch in Mumbai that these two characters meet on a dating site. So, what does Irrfan Khan think about dating sites?

“I want to believe in dating sites and app, infact I am searching for an app myself. This (love) is a very practical thing. It is the society that has been trying to keep it under wraps, and make it sound weird. Whereas I feel, God has made this beautiful thing, where two individuals come close and start liking each other,” said Irran Khan.

Irrfan also spoke against how the society looks at love in a judgmental way and why it shouldn’t be treated as a taboo subject. He said, “There is no other thing as beautiful as this in the universe. It is the most natural thing to happen. I don’t understand why we are made to feel guilty about it, or made to look at it as a taboo.”

Irrfan, who has done a few romantic films in the past, and will be seen romancing Parvathy in this film, was also asked who is his favourite romantic hero in the industry. To which, the Piku actor answered, “I am inspired by all the love that is in me. I am filled with romance. It’s just that people don’t know it. I haven’t lived it fully either. But I like spreading love in different ways. I share it with all.”
