Description

SYSTEM FOR CREATION OF PERSONALIZED MULTIMEDIA CONTENT FOR A PLURALITY OF VALUE ADDED SERVICES
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of telecommunications.
Particularly, the present invention relates to creation of value added services for use in telecommunications industry.
DEFINITIONS OF TERMS USED IN THE SPECIFICATION
The term 'value added service' in this specification relates to additional services other than the standard set of services provided by service providers. For instance, in telecommunication industry standard services include message and voice, any service apart from these services are value added services provided by service providers.
The term 'content' in this specification relates to customized multimedia based digital art for use in value added services. The digital art, for instance may include personalized multimedia messages created using a combination of text, audio, video and graphics.
These definitions are in addition to those expressed in the art. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Person to Person messaging service such as SMS (Short Message Service) is a popular mode of communication and today, a major medium for providing various value added services. This messaging service has gained popularity due to its ease of use and cost effectiveness. SMS being a reliable mode of communication ensures the delivery of content to the receiving party and the receiving party at his/her leisure can view the same. Due to these reasons, SMS is widely used and is a profit earning source for mobile service providers across the world.
SMS's are not only used for text and graphics based daily interactions between one or more people but also used as a medium for conveying wishes, greetings on various occasions like festivals, events, birthdays and many other celebrations.
Typically, all these greeting messages are in the text format and forwarded from one person to the other. Therefore, copies of the same message take circles amongst groups of people. Most of the times the receiving party deletes the message even before reading it as he/she might have received the same SMS before. Thus, the forwarded message doesn't create any attraction or interest to receiving party and the purpose of sending the SMS is lost. Hence, need for personalizing the messages arises.
Moreover, people are constantly looking for unique and special ways for expressing their love, joy, happiness, success, grief and failure. SMS, though very popular does not provide a channel for people to express their feeling through the medium of voice/ music and advanced graphics/ animation. Music along with graphics/animation provides people with a platform to showcase their feelings and does not bound people with the restriction of language or national boundaries. Music bonds people of different origins, caste, creed and sex together. Today, there are many platforms which enable individuals to dedicate songs to one another over mediums including television, radio channels, fete and social gatherings. Individuals can select songs of their choice along with a message and dedicate the songs to their loved ones to showcase their love and affection. These platforms make the person to whom the song is dedicated feel special however the songs lack personal touch and sometimes may go unnoticed if the person is say for instance not tuned to the radio channel at the time the dedication is played.
With new avenues available with the launch of 3G and the advent of 4G mobile technologies, a wider range of more advanced services and greater network capacity is available thus making multimedia input based messaging achievable. The multimedia input based messaging i.e. MMS (Multimedia Messaging) allows images, audio, video and rich text to be added to messages which can be sent through a mobile phone. The MMS application has not been exploited to its fullest in terms of volume because good multimedia content is not available to the subscribers. The MMS content is either available in the form of pirated videos films, music, pictures, wallpapers, images of gods, photos and obscene films/ recordings. Due to unavailability of good content to the subscriber the MMS market has not been able to grow to its potential and as rapidly as SMS.
Therefore, there is felt a need for a system which can generate ready to use personalized content involving use of multimedia which can be in used in MMS and a plurality of VAS. Also, there is felt a need for a system which will generate revenue for mobile service providers, artists, creative technical persons for creating and providing the personalized content.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a system for creation of multimedia based personalized content.

For instance, for a selected personalized message, only the name of the recipient in the greeting text will flash on the screen of receiving party's mobile along with a song playing in the local language of the receiving party.
Alternatively, the personalized multimedia content can be in the form of 'ready to use' songs recorded for different themes including birthdays, anniversaries, love, marriages, ring ceremonies, arrival of new born and other days celebrated across the world. These personalized 'ready to use' songs will include names of the subscribers in formats including title, first name, last name and nick name along with personalized text message and graphics to make the song content as well as the visual, personalized and attractive. In accordance with the present invention, customized songs will be recorded for various themes, for instance a song recorded for the category love songs will include customized lyrics including the name of the receiving party like "o Sonia I love you so much" where Sonia is the name of the receiving party. Similar songs will be recorded for all common names in a geographical location, thus the individual receiving the song will feel like the song is specially recorded for him/her. In addition, to the names of the subscribers in the audio of the songs, the videos of these songs will include personalized text messages and graphics which are personalized by graphically inserting the names of the subscribers in different font styles and colors. The video may also include graphics like background images or graphics like candles, animated hearts. Also, in addition to the name of the person to whom the song will be dedicated, the video can include the name of person dedicating the song, for instance if Mr. Clinton wants to present a song from the love songs category to Hillary then the following combinations of audio and video in a song are possible:
The song will include lyrics like "o Hillary I love you so much" and the video will include required text and graphics like animation throughout the video. The text will include text message like 'Hillary I love you so much Yours Clinton...' or 'Dedicated to my soul mate Hillary.... by Clinton' or any custom message which the person wants to be put in video.

The buyers have the option to buy a complete or a predetermined duration of personalized content in the form of songs or clips with publishing license to publish it on various social networking sites.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, FIGURE 1 shows a schematic of the system 100 for creation of personalized multimedia content. The system includes a plurality of repositories which facilitate in creation of personalized content. These repositories include:
• a names repository 102 to store a plurality of names of subscribers in a specific geographical location in predefined formats. The formats include title, first name, last name, nick name and combinations thereof. For instance, Mr. John / Dr. Jones / Mrs. Adam / Julie / Mr. George Mathew;
• a message repository 104 to store text of a plurality of greeting messages. The greeting messages can be multilingual text based messages or personalized song lyrics;
• a voiceover repository 106 to store a plurality of sample voiceover audios in multiple languages. The voiceovers include speech based and melody based voiceover sample recorded in voices of famous celebrities by voiceover artists;
• a music repository 108 to store a plurality of background music pieces and a plurality of song playback audios; and
• a graphics repository 110 to store a plurality of graphic designs, animation, graphic effects and video clips.
These repositories are regularly indexed using indexing means 112 to enable fast retrieval of information from them. Also, updation means 114 co- operates with these repositories to enable new content to be added to the respective repositories to keep them updateds.
The system 100 further includes synchronization means 116 which cooperates with each of these repositories to combine each of the greeting message and each of the name with content of at least one of repository selected from the group of repositories consisting of voiceover repository 106, music repository 108 and graphics repository 110 to create personalized multimedia content. To perform the synchronization function, the synchronization means 116 includes merging means 118 to merge a combination of at least one name and at least one greeting message in a predetermined manner to provide a merged text. For instance, random name and message is selected like 'Sonia' a name from the names repository 102 and greeting text 'Birthday wishes for the apple of my eyes' from the message repository 104 by the merging means 118 and both these selections are merged in a predetermined manner to create merged text like 'Birthday wishes for Sonia the apple of my eyes'. The merging means 118 merges each one of the names in the names repository 102 with each one of the greeting text in the messages repository 104 to create unique merged texts. These merged texts are forwarded to text to song conversion means 120 for being utilized in any personalized content either as a speech based message or in a melodious format.
The text to audio conversion means 120 of the synchronization means 116 receives the merged text and creates a personalized audio by converting the merged text into audio using at least one sample voiceover audio from the voiceover repository 106 for creating personalized audio. The audio can either be in the speech format or in a melodious format depending on the voiceover sample selected from the voiceover repository 106. For instance, if the voiceover sample is in the melodious format then the text to audio conversion means 120 converts the text into a melodious song by overlapping the melody in the sample voiceover recording over the converted text. And, for instance if the voiceover sample is in the speech format then the text to audio conversion means 120 converts the text to speech in the voice of the celebrity recorded in the voiceover sample.
In the above two stages, the personalized audio content gets created which are then given to video creation means 122. The video creation means 122 of the synchronization means 116 adds graphics from the graphics repository 110 and music from the music repository 108 to the personalized audio content to create personalized video. Based on whether the personalized audio is a song or speech, the video creation means 122 appropriately selects the graphics and music in a predetermined manner to create a personalized video song or a text based visual with voiceover and background music.
The video creation means 122 further provides the personalized video in the form of personalized multimedia content to assigning means 124 to assign a unique identification number and a predetermined category to each one of the personalized multimedia content. In accordance with this invention, categories include Love, Congratulation, Condolences, Birthday, New Year, Miss You, Best Wishes and the like.
The personalized multimedia content is then stored in a first database 126 according to its unique identification number and category. From the first database 126 the personalized multimedia content is uploaded to service provider's server for utilization in various value added services via uploading means 128.
In accordance with this invention, the 'ready to use' personalized multimedia content can be vended through mobile service provider's platform, chain of mobile value added service aggregators', music shops and online stores.
