Abstract

The invention relates to a power backup device for cordless telephones, which enables uninterrupted operation even in the event of failures in the electricity supply system. The inventive device comprises an automatically-rechargeable battery and a circuit which enables said battery to operate automatically and instantaneously in the event of a failure. Said backup device ensures that the cordless telephone can be used during any electricity supply failure or fault. The invention, which can be used with any type or make of cordless phone, is assembled compactly in a plastic case comprising a printed circuit board having the necessary components for the operation thereof, a set of rechargeable AA batteries and easy-to-install visible connections and indicators. The improvements relate to the number of components, the size of the case and the operating indicators and connections.
