Abstract

A test method is proposed which renders possible the detection of forged money with simple means. The forged money detectors consist of a light source in the region from 100 to 500 nm (2, 12, 13), which illuminate the bank notes directly or via a diffusing screen (1, 14, 15, 24) so that the fluorescent colours present in the bank notes reflect.
