Doodle 4 Google

Partners

We are honored that The New York Public Library and Crayola are partnering with us for this year's Doodle 4 Google contest.

The New York Public Library
The New York Public Library – founded in 1895 – is the largest circulating library in the nation, providing the public with free and open access to a collection of more than 50 million items and countless electronic resources, as well as a Digital Gallery with over 700,000 images, eBooks for mobile devices, and online exhibitions. The Library’s four world-renowned research centers - including the landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman building - continue to acquire and make available precious materials, from rare books to historic menus to photographs to archives of important figures throughout history. Across a network of 90 locations in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island, NYPL offers free Wi-Fi and access to computers, allowing anyone with a library card the opportunity to get onto the internet. In the last year, visitors to all 90 libraries logged nearly 4.5 million sessions on some 4,000 public computers. NYPL’s neighborhood libraries also provide thousands of free programs and classes for people of all ages, including arts and crafts, book discussion groups, science workshops, ESOL and literacy classes, and job search and résumé writing seminars. NYPL’s services are being used more than ever before, with more than 18 million people visiting annually and millions more around the globe accessing NYPL’s resources online at nypl.org.

Crayola Inc.
Crayola wants every child to be creatively alive. For us, that begins with inspiring wonder, adventure and colorful learning that turns kids’ original thoughts into visible form. We value the importance of everyday creative experiences and an arts infused education for a child’s successful future. Along with reading, writing and math, kids need the 4C’s – creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication to set them up for success. Kids that use their creativity skills become critical thinkers, problem solvers and leaders in the classroom. They are better prepared for the jobs of the 21st century. Just like the muscles in our bodies, a child’s creativity gets stronger with practice. And what better way to practice and have fun than by creating a Google Doodle! We’re so excited about teaming up with Doodle 4 Google that we’re going to celebrate kids’ creativity in a really BIG way! Millions of kids doodle with Crayola colors, but only the winner of this year’s Doodle 4 Google competition can say that their artwork appeared on the Crayola 64 Box.
